Salmon-Powerhouse of Fish

There is always so much information out there on the benefits of salmon that I couldn’t help to post some info on it too:

Benefits include:

High levels of Omega-3 fatty acids

  • Decreased risk of heart attack, stroke, heart arrhythmia, high blood pressure, and high triglycerides in the blood
  • Improved mood and cognition
  • Joint Protection
  • Decreased risk of macular degeneration and chronic dry eye
  • Decreased cancer risk

Bioactive Peptides (proteins)

  • Special support for joint cartilage
  • Insulin effectiveness
  • Control of inflammation in the digestive tract

Selenium

  • Decreased risk of joint inflammation
  • Prevention of certain types of cancer
  • Cardiovascular protection

It’s nutritional profile is impressive! 

I grilled some this weekend with Bragg’s, ginger, olive oil, and pepper.  It was amazing!
